There are quite a few (countless) young and young-ish photographers taking their inspiration from photographers such as Larry Clark, Richard Billingham and Nan Goldin. These photographers extensively and exclusively photographing very personal aspects of their lives often including close friends and family.
It’s a genre quite saturated at the moment as the subject is so accessible. It is their life, after all – they are the sole individual who has open access to all areas of their existence. Many do it well, but only a few do it very well, and I think photographer Theo Gosselin is one of those few. I’ve picked a few favourite from his recent uploads to share here; but do visit his Flickr stream and his Blog for more.
