Margate Photo Festival 3

Curator Charlotte Cotton, photographer Trish Morrissey, Hyeres curator Raphaelle Stopin and BJP‘s Diane Smyth are judging entries for this year’s MargatePhotoFest.

The festival, which returns for the third year from 10-12 August, is looking for photographers shooting social and political issues and will select three for exhibition. Photographers are invited to enter a pdf of 10-15 images plus a statement about the work, how it fits with the festival ethos and how it’s printed or displayed. Projects including mixed media and workshops not only allowed but actively encouraged.

Curators are invited to apply for a space in a separate competition, with the winning entries given a free venue plus funds towards producing the exhibition. Both competitions are free to enter and close for submissions on 01 June.
